According to the Wall Street Journal, officials at central government agencies have been instructed not to bring these devices into the office. This ban comes just before an upcoming Apple event, expected to unveil a new line of iPhones. It is possible that this ban could raise concerns among foreign companies operating in China, as tensions between China and the United States continue to escalate.
